New Information on Medicaid Managed Care for People Receiving SSI:

Starting in November 2005, people who have a disability and receive SSI will receive letter telling them they must join a Medicaid managed care plan, unless they fit one of the exemptions or exclusions. The letters will include a brochure describing the change from fee-for-service to Medicaid managed care. CIDNY has fact sheets and resources available for advocates and consumers.
